South Carolina industrial power costs are generally 15-20 percent lower than the national average.
South Carolina's electric utilities are assigned to specific service areas by law. Approximately 50 percent of the state is assigned to electric cooperatives.

Natural Gas
Natural gas service for industrial, residential and commercial is provided by South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, the Winnsboro Municipal, Clinton- Newberry Natural Gas Authority, Tri-County Co-op, City of Orangeburg, Orangeburg Department of Public Utilites, and Palmetto Gas Corp.
The average industrial gas rate per 1,000 cubic feet is $17.69.
