Winnsboro, SC— April 15th, 2025 — FAYAT Group (FAYAT), a producer of road equipment, announced it is expanding its operations in Ridgeway. FAYAT’s $13.7 million investment will create 75 new jobs and further solidify its commitment to Fairfield County.
FAYAT Group relocated their American headquarters from Kewanee, Illinois to Ridgeway, South Carolina in 2015. This year FAYAT Group recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their Ridgeway facility. The company currently employs over 120 people in Fairfield County. FAYAT Group operates in 170countries with more than 23,000 employees worldwide. Fairfield County was selected for multiple reasons including the outstanding relationship between the county and company. Fairfield County offers an ideal location and business environment for the FAYAT Group; influencing their decision to expand. Because of the continued support that FAYAT receives, they knew that Fairfield County would further help ensure the success of the company. They will now be expanding their Fairfield County operations and building a new 100,000-square-foot facility to increase its parts distribution operation and move production lines from overseas. In addition to the new 100,000-square-foot facility, FAYAT Group is also building a 10,000-square-foot state of the art customer training center on their current site.
Operations for the new facility are expected to be online in the fourth quarter of 2025.

To support this project, Fairfield County Council unanimously approved the fee-in-lieu of tax agreement for the project. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development also approved job development credits related to the project.
