Nucor Building Systems expanding Lexington County operations

Facility expansion to create 60 new jobs

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Nucor Building Systems, a leading manufacturer of custom, pre-engineered metal building systems, is growing its existing operations in Lexington County. The company's $7 million investment is projected to create approximately 60 new jobs.

Nucor Building Systems has been operating in Lexington County since 1995 and provides sophisticated metal building solutions created exclusively for its customers' unique applications. All Nucor products are designed by in-house, registered engineers and supported by a network of more than 1,200 authorized builders serving all of North America.

To expand its Lexington County operations, located at 200 Whetstone Road in Swansea, S.C., the company will be adding 57,000 square feet to its existing facility. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin in the coming weeks, and interested applicants should visit www.nucor.com for more information.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.
