Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) awards Central SC Alliance communication merits for new website and European delegation brochure

COLUMBIA, S.C. (August 24, 2016) – For a second year in a row, the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) has awarded the Central SC Alliance (CSCA) a merit award in its annual Communication Awards Competition. The 2016 awarded merit is for the design, aesthetics, and overall information on the newly launched CSCA website. The 2015 merit award was for the design of the organization’s European delegation brochure.

The newly redesigned CSCA website was launched in May of 2016 with numerous enhancements that expand on regional data and boost user-friendliness. Among the most notable changes, the property search function has been redesigned to provide users faster, more comprehensive searches of available properties, as well as customizable downloading of maps, property details, and documents. Expanded landing pages for the nine member counties and the City of Columbia provide increased insight into the demographics, workforce, and quality of life available. CSCA also added two new filterable databases; including one for regional employers for prospect research, and another for private Alliance investors, which offers users contact and general information for potential vendors.

CSCA’s European delegation brochure, a European marketing collateral pamphlet, was created for dissemination during a 10-day economic development recruitment mission to destinations in half a dozen European countries. The brochure highlighted the purpose of the mission, along with details on the Central SC Region and delegates participating on the trip.
