We’d like to congratulate our partners in Orangeburg County as they celebrate Valagro’s groundbreaking ceremony this afternoon. Valagro, a producer of biostimulants and fertilizers for the agriculture industry, initially announced their plans to build a new production facility in May 2018. Headquartered in Italy, Valagro’s new facility will be the 22nd international company to join Orangeburg’s diverse business community. CSCA initially engaged with Valagro on our European Marketing Mission to Italy in Fall 2016.

Groundbreaking ceremony of the Valagro plant in the US
The event officially marks the start of construction work on the Orangeburg County production site in the heart of South Carolina
Atessa (CH, Italy) / Orangeburg (South Carolina, USA), 1 October 2019 - Valagro, a leader in the development, production and marketing of biostimulant and advanced nutrient solutions for cash and row crops, is commencing the construction of its Orangeburg, South Carolina plant in the United States, with a groundbreaking ceremony, which was attended by members of the local community, esteemed guests, state representatives, as well as members of federal government..
Consistent with Valagro’s commitment to innovation, the plant will introduce cutting-edge technologies for the production of plant biostimulants and chelated micronutrients in the United States. The opening of the production site will also involve the creation of nearly 50 new advanced and manufacturing jobs.
Thanks to the Orangeburg production plant, Valagro will be able to better meet current and future American demand for innovative sustainable agriculture solutions, better serve our North American customers, and advance the use of biologicals in agriculture.
