Apprenticeship Carolina works to increase awareness and use of registered apprenticeships in the state. Targeted industry clusters include Advanced Manufacturing and Technologies, Construction Technologies, Energy (including agribusiness and biofuels), Healthcare, Information Technology, Tourism and Service Industries, and Transportation, Distribution and Logistics.
- Has served over 18,100 apprentices since its creation in July 2007, averaging a monthly increase of 120 new apprentices
- More than 900 apprenticeship programs available
- Over 60% of registered programs use local technical colleges as their education providers
- A $1,000 tax incentive is available through the state for qualified companies registered with the apprenticeship program.
